What Is The Definition Of A Perfect Game In Baseball?
1. A perfect game in baseball is when a pitcher pitches in an entire game where all the batters are retired in order and none of them reach base, not even on a walk or hit by a pitch. The perfect game is considered to be the hardest feat for a pitcher to accomplish. This is different from a no-hitter, as in a no-hitter the pitcher is able to still walk hitters in order to accomplish the feat.
Although a perfect game is usually completed by one pitcher during the course of a game, it can also be achieved by a committee of pitchers.
