What Is The Definition Of Obstruction In Soccer?
This occurs when a player purposefully gets in the way of an opponent when neither one is in possession of or very close to the ball. Obstruction can include blocking or slowing down the opponent. If the ball were to be within playing distance, these actions would be considered fair on the field.
