2 3 zone
What Is The Definition Of A 2-3 Zone Defense In Basketball?
1. A 2-3 zone defense is a defensive strategy in basketball where each of the five players on defense cover a certain area, or “zone”, on the court. When on the defensive side of the court, the 2-3 refers to there being two defensive players located at the top of the court and the three remaining players are spread out at the bottom of the court towards the baseline.
The two players located at the top of the court are usually the team’s two guards, while the three players under the basket are the two forwards and center.
