jump cue
What Is The Definition Of Jump Cue In Billiards?
1. A jump cue is a specific type of pool cue, or stick, which is used to help jump over other balls. The jump cue is usually shorter in length, lighter and has a harder, wider tip on the end.
Although this cue is used mainly for lifting the ball off the pool table, it is also commonly used on the break. Since this stick is lighter, the player is able to get more force behind the hit.
It is to note that jump cues may not be used in some tournaments to jump balls, however, they may be able to be used on the break.
