joust
What Is The Definition Of Joust In Volleyball?
1. A joust in volleyball is when two defending players go for the ball at the same time that is just above the net and attempt to push it back onto their opponent’s side. This is another way for players to work together in order to get a block.
By using the joust defense, it makes it harder for the attacking hitter to get the ball over the net because there is now two sets of hands to form a wall, versus just one set of hands from one defending player.
