in the box
What Is The Definition Of In The Box In Soccer?
This describes action in the game that takes place inside the penalty area on either end of the field. Though a soccer field contains both an 18-yard box and a 6-yard box, the term “in the box” is almost always used in reference to being inside the larger 18-yard box. Fouls which occur inside this box may result in a penalty kick.
