What Is The Definition Of Clear Out?
1. This refers to when all members of the offensive team spread out and away from the ball handler and the basket so that the ball handler can take his defender on one-on-one. The team does this so that the ball handler can either create space for a shot attempt or to have a better chance of driving to the basket for a layup.
