Last night was a big night for Peyton Manning, and apparently Gary Payton.
Manning set the career record for touchdown passes thrown in a career on Monday Night. A record that he’ll continue to add to and one that was previously held by Brett Favre.
News stations all over the country having been waiting for few weeks for Manning to break the record. And because of this, I’m assuming that a lot of them have had their highlight reels and montages already edited and ready to display… well, all of them except for KOMO 4 News in Seattle.
When KOMO 4 reported the new record, they decided to a picture of one of their old superstars instead of Peyton Manning himself.
You can’t help but laugh. The fact that they used an athlete who was an NBA star from the 90s is what makes this even more priceless. I guess all guys with the name Peyton (or Payton) all look the same.
All this time I thought Peyton Manning broke the TD record, turns out it was Gary PAYTON! Who knew?! #PeytonRecord pic.twitter.com/KlIcFRtZ8V
