Hey, free loaders. If you’re looking for free tickets to the Super Bowl from Julian Edelman, you can forget about it.
The New England Patriots wide receiver was interviewed on Monday by CNNE.com about how he’ll prepare for the Super Bowl. Not only did he answer how he’ll prepare for the big game, but more importantly, how he’ll deal with all the requests for tickets. To put it simply, Edelman acknowledged that he has to basically be mean… or an “a-hole.”
“I’m a pretty big a-hole to all my friends and family,” Edelman said. “They know that. When it’s football time it’s football time.”
Well, that makes things easy for him. Despite him saying that he just wants to make the weeks leading up to the Super Bowl to be as normal and routine as possible, I’m sure he’ll bend the rules a bit for some people. Maybe for dad or some other close family and friends? I mean, how many times does a person get a chance to go the Super Bowl? He can’t really be that much of a Scrooge, can he?
Well, if he really does stick to his new rule, then he has rightfully earned the nickname “a-hole”. At least for the next two weeks.
