The circus in New York looks to be leaving.
The 2-10 Giants gave head coach Ben McAdoo and General Manager Jerry Reese the pink slip Monday morning, less than 24 hours after losing to the Oakland Raiders.
#Giants have informed coach Ben McAdoo that he’s been relieved of his duties as coach. Less than a year after making the playoffs. Unreal

The #Giants are also firing GM Jerry Reese, per @AKinkhabwala. A housecleaning.

Although the Giants have been unsuccessful all year, the Giants looked like they were willing to ride it out with their coach until the end of the season. It was just a year ago that McAdoo led the Giants to an 11-5 record and a playoff birth.
But things changed last week.
McAdoo benched their long time quarterback Eli Manning in favor of Geno Smith. Manning, who helped propel the Giants to two Super Bowl wins in his 14 seasons with the team, had started 210 consecutive games. Whether Manning did or did not deserve to benched is up for debate, but one thing that wasn’t was the way McAdoo handled the situation. Many feel McAdoo should’ve handled the situation more professionally and respect.
In the meantime, Steve Spagnuolo and Kevin Abrams will serve as the interim head coach and GM until the season ends.
