Steve Smith may not like the Carolina Panthers anymore, but he’ll still gladly take their money.

Late last night, I was able to catch some of Jim Rome’s show, and his interview with Smith, who’s now with the Baltimore Ravens.
If you weren’t aware, Smith and the Carolina Panthers parted ways and the split wasn’t pretty. Picture a couple who were with each other for over a decade and one person gets dumped out of nowhere, leading them either to go crazy or extremely angry. In this case, Smith is the one who got dumped, despite being a huge part of the franchise for years.
Well, the Panthers thought they could buy Smith’s love back with a parting check of $5 million.
It didn’t work. Smith is still pissed. On the other hand, Smith did say that that money will pay for his family’s vacation during the Ravens’ bye week.
Guess Smith made it out on top in the end. Imagine how angry he would’ve been at the Panthers if they didn’t give him that check?
