Lane Kiffin is back in the SEC.
After much speculation that he would make his way back to the conference by way of Arkansas, Kiffin instead has become the head coach for Ole Miss.
Moments after Kiffin led FAU to their second Conference USA championship in three years, Ole Miss confirmed that Kiffin has signed a deal to become their next football coach.
Kiffin, who had been at Florida Atlantic since 2017, will be the head coach of his fifth team. Previously he was with the Oakland Raiders, Tennessee, USC, and FAU. Kiffin also notably served as the offensive coordinator for Alabama under Nick Saban from 2014-2016.
Kiffin’s contract is reportedly to pay him a little more than $4 million a year.
