It’s been less than 24 hours since Duke won the national championship, and they already have their rings designed.
In case you missed it, the Duke men’s basketball team knocked off Wisconsin last night to win the NCAA national championship, 69-63. The game was probably one of the best in recent memory, and it looked like Wisconsin was going to pull off an upset until sloppy play and horrible officiating in the last minutes eventually led to their defeat.
But that’s all in the past now and Duke can now think about how this new piece of jewelry will look on their hands. For Coach K, he now has one ring for each digit, as he captured his and the Blue Devils’ fifth title.
As expected, the championship ring will be filled with diamonds and probably weigh more than many of the incoming freshman players.
If you win it then you better put a ring on it.
