I have no idea what happened between Robin Lopez and the Detroit Pistons’ mascot, Hooper, but I love it.
Hooper must have triggered something in the Portland Trail Blazers’ center during warm-ups on Tuesday, because it was enough for Lopez to pick him up, turn him upside down and carry him down the tunnel flailing.
Here’s what Lopez said about his run-in with Hooper, according to ForwardCenter.net:
“Apparently there’s something about me he just finds grating, something about my personality,” Lopez said. “We’ve had our beefs. I’m not sure what’s going on there. Some kind of love/hate relationship.”
On top of the little run-in, it looks like Hooper created a picture of Lopez. Well, Lopez couldn’t just standby without putting his own finishing touches on the picture: an image of him carrying Hooper.
