Will Anthony Davis be donning red and black next season?
The Los Angeles Lakers star will be a free agent after this season, so the rumors of where he’ll land next have started to heat up… less than a month into the season.
Davis, who’s a native of Chicago, has been under the microscope on where he’ll land next ever since he demanded a trade from New Orleans last season. The Lakers landed the six-time All-Star forward, but have yet to lock him down to a long term deal. Davis is holding out to see how he’ll do on the free agent market.
On Monday, Davis did little to help ease the anxiety of Lakers fans when he was asked if he’ll consider joining the Chicago Bulls while visiting his alma mater at Perspective Charter School.
Davis didn’t say yes, but even more telling, he didn’t say no.

The narrative on where he’ll play next will surely change over the course of season, but it’ll be interesting to see how hard the Lakers and LeBron press Davis to stay and try to lock him up before the season ends.
Through the first seven games of this season, Davis is averaging 26.6 points, 10.9 rebounds and 3 blocks a game.
