If many of you thought that Derek Jeter didn’t deserve to make the All-Star team in his last season, what are your thoughts on Tracy McGrady?
McGrady, who played for the Sugar Land Skeeters, apparently put up good enough numbers this season to make the Atlantic League All-Star team. So are you curious what those numbers are? Let’s start with a 6.75 ERA and walking 10 batters in 6.2 innings. If you’re curious about how many strikeouts McGrady has thrown throw, you won’t find one. Not a single one. He has yet to sit a single batter down on strikes.
Which is what takes us back to last night. McGrady tossed 1.1 innings and struck out his first batter of the season in the game. A feat so accomplishing for McGrady, that he decided to retire from the game of baseball, not only until after he also participated in the home run derby.
So it’s obvious McGrady only got invited to the All-Star festivities because of his accomplishments in the NBA. I didn’t see the game, so I’m curious if he got a bigger ovation than Jeter did for his final exit. Anyone?
Big thanks to @Real_T_Mac for his generosity and attitude as he closes out his baseball career. #GreatTeammate pic.twitter.com/ShixO5tGIe
