Is that the smile of an idiot? Maybe, maybe not. But it just might be the smile of one of the most gullible players that has been exposed in quite some time.
Jeff Francoeur is a nine year MLB veteran, who was trying to make it into his 10th year in the league this summer. He didn’t quite make a roster, so he’s currently playing for the El Paso Chihuahuas who are the Triple A affiliate of the San Diego Padres.
Well, during Jeff’s time in the minors, his new teammates, coaches and even trainers have all been in on a month long prank against Francoeur. They all had him convinced that his teammate Jorge Reyes was deaf. The team even had Reyes’ wife in on the prank.
