The Derek Jeter farewell tour has picked up its first milestone the season.

Jeter drove a single into right field today to move ahead of Paul Molitor on the all-time hit list with his 3,320th hit.
Next up: Carl Yastrzemski, who has 3,419 hits.
That number is definitely within reach this season if Jeter is able to remain healthy and play a good portion of the season.
Jeter, who entered the game against the Toronto Blue Jays hitting only .182, finished the game going 2 for 5.
Oh, and if you’re curious about the score, the Yankees won the game 6-4, to move their record to 2-3 so far this season.
No need to panic about Jeter’s average or the Yankees record. It’s been five games people. Five games.
