Jameis Winston is already back to playing baseball for Florida State.
Four days after it was announced that he would be suspended from the team for stealing crab legs, it appears that Winston has been reinstated. According to Tallahassee.com, Winston had completed his 20 hours of community service over the past few days at multiple establishments, including the YMCA.
It appears that Winston only missed three games as the closer on the baseball team and that he just got another slap on the wrist for this latest episode. If you weren’t aware, the Heisman Trophy quarterback was not charged with theft since he made a deal with the Sheriff’s office to complete the community service. By completing the 20 hours, it’s basically as if the theft never happened since it’s not on his record.
I said this in the past and I’ll say it again: I hope this guy learned his lesson and stops doing stupid things and putting himself in bad situations.
It’ll be a waste of talent if he keeps getting into trouble because he thinks he’s above the law. Everyone thinks it, but not many people will say it, that if Winston wasn’t this star athlete that he is, most likely he would have been punished more severely.
Let the what will Jameis Winston do next show continue.
