In Major League Baseball, up to 120 baseballs can be used in a game. This number varies in each game based on several factors, such as the number of foul balls hit, the number of home runs hit and how often the pitcher or umpire requests a new baseball to be used.
There are 30 teams in the MLB and each team plays 162 games, for a total of 2,430 games (two teams per game) played in each Major League Baseball season. With up to 120 balls used per game, that means up to 291,600 baseballs are used in an MLB regular season.
