I guess this is where people say, “see, the money hasn’t changed him.”
Gordon Hayward is expected to sign a massive new contract with the Boston Celtics, that’s in the range of $128-$130 million dollars for the next four years of service. That’s a nice chunk of cash that pretty much guarantees that he’ll (and his family and their families) will never have to work again.
To prepare for his new contract signing, it seems that Mr. Hayward didn’t have a suit on hand for the press conference that is to happen on Friday.
How do we know?
Some fans got lucky and caught the future Celtic shopping for some attire at their local Jos. A. Bank. Yep. Not exactly the first store you’d think would come to mind for a future $100 million man.
@StoolGreenie my friend just saw Gordon at jos a bank. Allegedly Hayward says "uhhh I need a suit for tomorrow." hoping that means he signed pic.twitter.com/yqLD6BfQJR

I’m not knocking Jos. A. Bank. They’re a nice little shop and a part of me is kind of happy he’s shopping at the store of the Average Joe. Some of these athletes tend to overdo it with their suits on draft night and at press conferences.
Now my mind is wandering and is curious where he bought his shoes. Payless? Yep. Payless.
Anyhow, congratulations, Gordon. You’ll fit right in with Boston.
